Primary care physicians manage scheduled and unscheduled patients in the outpatient clinic setting Primary care physicians may be responsible for supervision ,education and evaluation of residents and medical students in the outpatient primary care setting, as assigned. Primary care providers is an integral member of the PACT teamlet and is expected to work closely and coordinate patient care with other PACT teamlet members, including nursing and clerical staff. Primary care provider in the outpatient setting is assigned a panel of patients to manage under PCMM guidelines; recommended panel size at the division level is calculated based on patient complexity, support staff and room availability. Each provider panel sized is specific to their practice and setting. Physicians are responsible to provide clerical oversight and to participate in peer review of other primary care providers through periodic chart reviews Effective management of patient panel, internal and external customer feedback Primary care physician will act as surrogates for absent primary care providers when needed, to include review of CPRS view alerts. Primary care physicians will regularly attend primary care staff meetings, departmental meetings and medical staff meetings. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Certification in basic life support and advanced certification in life support (BLS/ACLS) is highly desirable. Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred. Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:
Physical activity includes sitting, standing ( up to 2hours) , walking ( up t 2 hours), heavy lifting ( 45 pounds or over), reaching above the shoulder, and repeated bending. Incumbent should be emotionally and mentally stable and capable to perform the duties of the position. As part of the expedited onboarding process you may be required to take an initial temporary appointment, pending completion of permanent credentialing and background checks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
