Critical Infrastructure Analyst 1

The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
o Serve as a subject matter expert in physical security assessments, application, design and integration of physical security systems, and implementation of security measures. o Direct, supervise and support program staff to conduct risk assessments focused on physical security protection. Deliver quality products to customers for their use. o Direct, plan, organize and conduct complicated research and studies. Manage site/field visits to gather information relevant to program operations and initiatives; organize, analyze and interpret incoming reports, intelligence and investigative action. o Oversee outreach activities conducted by the fieldwork teams, including presentations/conferences, information-sharing activities, training and exercises, briefings, reports and meetings. o Develop and maintain assessment tools for use on NY infrastructure. o Assessment of infrastructure which includes working with internal and external partners; reviewing, evaluating and commenting on safety and security plans and concepts; identification of vulnerabilities at fixed facilities; identification of vulnerabilities in information technology systems, making recommendations to improve the security of facilities; discovering potential failures. o Serve as subject matter expert for all Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) Office of Counterterrorism programs and initiatives. o Plan, develop and manage complex special projects to include problem identification, research, risk/gap options analysis, statistical analysis, presentation of recommendations and implementation time frame. o Work with a multi-disciplinary team and develop and maintain positive relationships with agency partners, including public and private sector entities. o Conduct comprehensive research on counterterrorism and public security trends at the state, federal and international levels, interacting extensively with agency representatives, subject matter experts, advisory services and legal resources, as relevant. Draft preliminary reports and recommendations based on gathered information. o Draft correspondence, white papers, bulletins, advisories, progress reports and study results on targeted topics. o Work with sensitive information, requiring the ability to obtain a National Security Clearance. o Maintain industry subject matter expertise in assigned areas. o Prepare professional work products and briefings. o Participate in team engagement with public and private infrastructure, relevant associations and consortia. o Perform other duties as required, including those of an emergency nature.

Salary Range:
From $90375 to $111316 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Nine years of professional or technical critical infrastructure analysis experience , three years of which must be in one or more infrastructure sectors . A bachelor's degree in a relevant area may substitute for four years of general experience; a master's degree in a relevant area can substitute for one additional year of general experience. Experience must include research and analysis of highly technical programs; analysis and development of operational protocols for a large organization, including risk management and vulnerability assessment; analysis of public policy issues; or strategic planning and process improvement. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
