Contract Management Specialist 1

The duties of this position will include but not be limited to: o Serve as a liaison between DHSES Administration/Finance and NYS ITS. Review, coordinate and update agency IT policy, administrative and procedural manuals and assist in the development and implementation of agency IT procedures. o Must be able to communicate effectively. This position requires constant communication with DHSES employees and NYS ITS staff. o Review and process on-boarding requests for new employees. o Process off-boarding requests and ensure all IT equipment has been returned and user access has been removed. o Review, process and track requests for IT purchases and IT service requests. Must be able to use this data to provide status reports to management. o Navigate a variety of systems and software programs including but not limited to: o Information Technology Service Management (ITSM 2.0) o Statewide Financial System (SFS) o DHSES Agency Dashboard o New York Responds (NYR) o Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) o Ability to follow-up and provide up-to-date statuses on all outstanding and pending IT requests. o Be able to work in a team environment within DHSES Administration's various units including Finance, Budget and IT. o Work with and support SFS Agency Security Administrator. Ability to navigate, troubleshoot, reassign items, and role map in both SFS & the Agency Dashboard. o Prepare pertinent analyses, such as cost/benefit analysis, systems alternatives analysis or alternative problem solutions analysis, when appropriate. o Provide support for DHSES Administration/Finance in the event of a disaster activation.

Salary Range: From $56604 to $71980 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Current Division of Homeland Security employee with permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Contract Management Specialist 1 and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Contract Management Specialist 1; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 13 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6, 70.1 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law. Individuals who are 55 b/c eligible and hold a bachelor's or higher degree may apply. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
