A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Business Analyst to join our team in Albany, New York.
provide guidance to 2 mid-level business analysts
Work as a liaison among stakeholders of NYS Departments in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate the requirements for changes to current business processes, policies, and information systems and for the development of new business process, policies and information systems.
Document requirements using process models, use cases and other artifacts according to project artifact guidelines.
Coordinate use cases, process flows and other industry standard business requirements documentation with other requirements teams for seamless process flows and system design.
Follow the project's package preparation guidelines and utilize templates provided by project manager.
Interact with cross-functional teams (subject matter experts, developers, architects, and database) and staff to ensure requirements are thoroughly and accurately documented and to design and document recommendations for improved business processes that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Provide a weekly status report to DOL Project Manager in the format specified, including issues and risks.
Store documentation in Microsoft SharePoint and IBM Rational ClearCase as per the package preparation guidelines and in any other format/repository as may be required.
2 years experience leading a team (2 or more) of business analysts in the gathering of requirements for a complex project. Experience must include planning, organizing and assigning staff to researching, gathering and evaluating business process requirements, encouraging stakeholders to resolve issues with design specifications, and evaluating project timelines and priorities.
5 years experience facilitating JAD sessions, conducting stakeholder interviews, focus groups and workshops and then analyzing the stakeholders' business needs and converting those into functional requirements.
5 years experience in business requirements management including requirements documentation, analysis, validation, and change management.
5 years experience in business process modeling, gap analysis, process improvement or re-engineering on medium to large-scale IT projects, describing the as-is and to-be business processes.
5 years experience in writing use cases/user stories, business requirement document (BRD), software requirement specification (SRS), business rules, traceability matrix, work flow diagrams, or other business or system requirement artifacts.
This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA. Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
