Mandatory Requirements : Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in
computer
science, management information systems, or related field preferred Minimum of eight (8) years experience with Oracle DBMS platform administration (Oracle database design or maintenance) in a Linux environment including support, problem determination, and troubleshooting that is beyond the requirements of a developer or senior developer Minimum four (4) years experience as a database administrator in a large IT environment preferably in an Insurance System or large-scale integrated healthcare claims processing system Minimum of three (3) years experience in the installation and operation of a database in an Insurance System or large-scale integrated healthcare claims processing system Minimum two (2) years experience implementing database security MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Experience working with relational data modeling Experience working with data warehousing Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle 11g, SQL, PL/SQL, etc. Experience working with database development methodologies, design and Experience with Oracle DB Partitioning and Transportable Table Spaces Experience working with database and system maintenance procedures Experience working with database creation techniques and database management implementation systems (DBMS) features Experience working with Oracle database performance tuning Strong experience in maintenance and balancing Oracle DBMS components. Experience in deploying Oracle Databases in a highly available environment. Experience with performance testing of Oracle based applications to determine CPU and memory utilization. Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability Work with teammates and other teams to identify and address systems problems. Perform incident and problem resolution Ability to generate reports and troubleshoot system performance Ability to research open source technologies Excellent interpersonal relations, communications, people skills and a self-starter
Desirable Requirements : Experience with X12/EDI 837 and NCPDP claims is highly desirable Experience with IBM Infosphere Data Stage and WTX Experience in a corporate IT environment Experience in a customer-facing corporate environment Understanding of business process software Understand and experience in disaster recovery, backup and restore processes Good analytical and problem solving skills Good programming skills for database management and general software Good communication skills Leadership skills to guide work teams Ability to work in a team environment Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action
