on site in Corning - Elmira NY area ( no remote work - must relocate if non local ) Supplier Quality Engineer ( Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, Supplier Product Quality Development Engineer) :
- Investigating, analyzing, and solving issue in quality, production, and control at a supplier facilities - Contact vendors / suppliers to explain requirements in advance of supplier audits / visits - Performs supplier audits - Participates is supplier selection and provides approval for new suppliers - Performs FAI ( First Article Inspection ) and source inspections at supplier facilities and creates associated reports - Manages implementation and tracking for supplier FMIs ( Field Modification Instructions ) - Performs weekly MRB ( Material Review Board ) to drive non-conformances ( NCR ) to closure - Creates/reviews MQR ( material quality reports ), shares reports with suppliers, and drives corrective action to prevent repeat issues on future deliveries - Participates/assists with receiving inspection area management Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree ( ideally an engineering major ) :
Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering ,Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, etc - Previous experience in such supplier quality engineering roles as SQE - Supplier Quality Engineer, SQAE - Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, SPQDE - Supplier Product Quality Development Engineer, Quality Engineer, etc - RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) Analysis - Supply Chain (Sourcing, Procurement & Logistics) processes and best practices, supplier and customer relations Employer offers :
