is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Data Visualization Project Assistant position at the Office of Population Health and Evaluation's Division of Data Science.
The chosen candidate will provide project management (PM) and Scrum Master (SM) support for Tableau development.
This position requires a good mix of PM skills to support the project team deliverables for each team as well as SM skills to be able to help these teams organize and prioritize their day-to-day work for each sprint to deliver committed work to senior management and the overall organization.
The ideal candidate for this role must have in-depth knowledge of the full life cycle for delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions, excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Centered around Tableau product family, the Scrum Master will serve as a vital facilitator for Agile development teams and stakeholders, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of projects that meet the organization's goals and objectives.
Core
Responsibilities:
Coach team members in Agile frameworks, primarily Scrum, and foster an understanding of Agile principles and practices.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
Encourage team collaboration and self-organization to achieve high performance.
Identify and remove obstacles or guide the team to do so, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions to maintain focus on project goals.
Work with Product Owners to maximize product value and ensure that the team understands the backlog items.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the development team and stakeholders.
Ensure transparency in the team's work and progress through appropriate channels and tools.
Continuously seek and introduce new practices and tools to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
Adapt processes and practices as per team and project needs, ensuring adherence to Agile values.
Support and promote team building and collaboration.
Monitor and report on team progress and Agile metrics (e.
g.
, velocity, sprint burndown), Use metrics to identify areas of improvement and guide team efforts accordingly.
Provide ongoing training and mentoring to team members on Agile and Scrum practices.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
1 year experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role facilitating Agile teams.
Demonstrable knowledge of Scrum and other Agile frameworks and practices.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Scrum Master certification 1 year experience with the ServiceNow platform is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.
