a bachelors degree and five years of IT auditing experience , or an associate degree and seven years of the experience listed.
IT auditing experience must have been gained in any one or combination of the following:
-An information system or audit professional with responsibility for designing, developing, and evaluating mainframe and server-based audit systems.
-An information system or audit professional with responsibility for designing and programming tests to perform audits of physical and logical access controls of mainframe and server-based systems.
-An information system or audit professional with responsibility for data extraction, manipulation and analysis using information from diverse sources, including preparation and presentation of written reports of findings suitable for non-technical audience.
-An information system or audit professional with responsibility for supporting an audit group, including developing and maintaining audit systems and identifying and providing data in support of audit activity.

Demonstrated experience extracting, transforming, analyzing and reporting on health information system data from multiple sources; Demonstrated experience in project management oversight responsibilities (e.
g.
, planning, design, development, implementation, and operation of large-scale Information Technology project) to ensure the project is on-time, on-budget, within scope and meets stakeholder needs; Demonstrated experience managing a health-related information technology system, working with various stakeholders and control agencies to better understand their data and reporting needs and to ensure data reported is timely, relevant and accurate; Demonstrated experience supporting audit activities, including identifying and providing data in support of State and Federal audits; and, Possesses strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Manager Information Technology Services 2, within the NYSOH Bureau, the incumbent will be responsible for managing and directing vendor oversight and system auditing activities that include quality assurance, project, and change request monitoring, reporting and data analysis, and solution design reviews.
The Information Systems Auditor 2 is a key position in support of the EDI operation and evolution for the NYSOH.
The ISA 2 is responsible providing oversight and direction of the EDI operation and evolution for the NYSOH; directing and coordinating daily EDI between NYSOH and all Trading Partners including Insurers and eMedNY; acting as a liaison with Trading Partners and providing organizational coordination and assistance as required to facilitate the implementation of NYSOH initiatives.
They are responsible for monitoring and reporting on EDI including reconciliation activities.
The ISA 2 manages a dedicated operational team to service our stakeholders and ensure that we can operate and fulfill our obligation of establishing an operationally sound environment.
