POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Chief Psychologist or designee (Clinical Supervisor) and/or Treatment Team Leader:
o Provides direct services to individuals including consultation, Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavior Support Plans, and Intensive Behavior Support Plans as assigned. o Utilizes the Electronic Health Record to document assessments, plans, behavioral notes, consent processes, and related behavioral/psychological activities and services. o Performs initial and annual capacity assessments and determinations under a Licensed Psychologist. o Ensure delivery of service complies with regulations, agency policies, and ethical standards of clinical practice. o Trains staff and team members on the implementation of Behavior Support Plans, Intensive Behavior Support Plans, and related psychological, behavioral, and risk concerns. o Conducts Risk Management Assessments and provides training to staff regarding risk mitigation and safeguards for protection of individual rights and community safety. o Utilizes data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior management strategies and documents progress. Designs or revises behavior management strategies and plans to improve support to individuals as needed. o Participates in team meetings on regular basis and updates team as needed. o Assists Chief Psychologist or designee with dissemination of information regarding discipline specific training/conferences, changes in regulations, discipline specific policy revisions and research findings. o Serve as DDSO Administrator on Duty, requiring periodic 24-hour on call and on-site supervisory responsibility. Salary Range:
From $79325 to $100342 Annually

Qualifications:
Psychologist 2:
One year of permanent service as a Psychologist 2 or in a title deemed appropriate for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Provisional Appointment:

Promotion:
Candidates must have one year of permanent service as a Psychologist 1 or as a Psychologist 1 (Spanish Language). Open Competitive
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master of Psychology degree from a regionally accredited college or university psychology degree program which prepares graduates for clinical positions in the field of psychology in a clinical, forensic, community mental health, or school setting. Qualifying degree programs must have included coursework in psychological and behavioral assessment, and treatment modalities for psychological and behavioral disorders. You must also have three years of supervised post master's degree experience in a clinical, forensic, community mental health, or school setting, where your primary duties were providing psychological services as described below. Substitution for Post-Master's degree
Experience:
o Doctoral degree in a clinical field of psychology may be substituted for both the education and experience requirements above. o Clinical psychology practicum, externship, or fieldwork assignment, that was completed as part of a qualifying Master of Psychology degree program, may be substituted for one year of the required experience. ? A practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork assignment is defined as a direct clinical training experience in providing psychological services in an appropriate inpatient or outpatient community mental health, developmental disabilities services, forensic or community setting; which is a component of a qualifying Master of Psychology degree program and would also be listed on the official transcript. o Certificate of advanced study in a clinical field of psychology or school psychology may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Experience in a clinical, community mental health, addiction treatment facility, or forensic setting is considered to be any direct care experience with individuals, families, or groups in a hospital, psychiatric hospital, psychiatric clinic, community mental health clinic, correctional facility, intermediate care facility, institutional or school setting, or community based residential and/or day program under the supervision of a doctoral level psychologist, licensed psychologist, licensed physician, or licensed psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or licensed clinical social worker. Qualifying experience for Psychologist 2 must primarily include administering assessments and tests for diagnostic psychological evaluations or completing functional behavioral assessments; developing behavior support plans; or writing psychological treatment plans; providing psychological counseling and treatment in one or more of the following areas:
mental and/or emotional disorders, cognitive disorders, behavioral disorders, mental retardation, developmental disabilities, alcoholism, addictions, substance abuse disorders, sex offender assessment and treatment, or forensic mental health. In addition, experience in experimental psychology, research psychology, industrial psychology, organizational psychology, health psychology, utilization review, guidance counseling, as a habilitation specialist, pastoral counseling, or experience as an instructor of psychology will NOT be considered as qualifying.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
