o Coordinate and guide building construction projects through; planning, design, construction, ITS (Information Technology Service), furniture purchase/installation, and tenant occupancy. This may include coordination of multiple agencies moves into various spaces in multiple locations. o Serve as the focal point for all primary communications between upper management and OGS Design & Construction Group, responsible for disseminating information, identifying problems, and ensuring timely decisions are made in order to keep projects on schedule and within budget while meeting clients' needs. o Required to plan, schedule, and coordinate in-house projects from inception to construction completion using available in-house resources, contracted labor, procurement of prime contractors, availability of existing backdrop and D&C contracts or any combination thereof. o Regularly record project activities/progress by providing updates in the OGS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). o Regularly inform OGS upper management with project status, successes, accomplishments, challenges, and recommendations to problem resolutions. o Ensure assigned projects remain within the approved and allotted funding and are completed within time frames established in conjunction with client agency requests. o Prioritize and assist Executive level staff with data collection, communication with stakeholders and documentation of special Tier 1 projects as required. o Work with space planners and leasing agents team members for lease document development including editing of lease work letters, room datasheets and drawing review. This may include visiting, assessing, and documenting proposed leased sites ability to meet client agency program requirements with minimal expectation for future lease compliance issues. o Conduct status meetings with the client agency and related partners, prepare agendas, document, record notes and meeting minutes as required. o Monitor and coordinate construction project phases and take necessary action to facilitate project completion from lease execution, substantial completion, and lease commencement.

Salary Range:
From $61270 to $77912 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as a Building Construction Program Manager 1 and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as an Engineer trainee and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Either 1.six years of experience in multi-trade building construction projects, which must have included one year of managing multiple building construction projects. Experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas:
construction planning, coordination of multiple trades, cost estimating, project scheduling, material purchasing, resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling), and construction document reading and interpretation (e.g. plans and specifications). Or 2. an associate's degree in architecture, architectural technology, building science, construction technology, construction management, engineering, engineering technology, landscape architecture AND four years of experience in multi-trade building construction projects, which must have included one year of managing multiple building construction projects. Experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas:
construction planning, coordination of multiple trades, cost estimating, project scheduling, material purchasing, resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling), and construction document reading and interpretation (e.g. plans and specifications). Or 3. a bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural technology, building science, construction technology, construction management, engineering, engineering technology, landscape architecture AND two years of experience in multi-trade building construction projects, which must have included one year of managing multiple building construction projects.
