The Chief of the Statistical Analysis unit will manage and supervise a research team within the Division of Program Planning, Research and Evaluation. The incumbent is responsible for the development of statistical analyses and population projection reports, directing the ongoing production of the Department's Periodic Statistical reports series on the incarcerated individual and parolee populations, ad hoc statistical analysis, policy and legislative impact analysis, and coordinating the unit's activities with the program managers of the Special Projects, Empirical Analysis, and Program Evaluation units.
Job Function

Salary Range:
From $88161 to $111111 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Eligible for transfer only. Open-Competitive:
a Ph.D. or all but dissertation degree in criminal justice, criminology, statistics, psychology, political science, or sociology, including 15 credit hours in research methods, statistics and/or computer data analysis; AND three years of experience in crime-related or delinquency-related research, at least one year of which must have been as the leader or chief of a research project.(10/09)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
