The Office of Special Investigations (OSI) is seeking qualified candidates for consideration to serve as a Senior Investigator (SI) in the Intake, Training, and Analysis Division (ITAD). ITAD specializes responding to tips, allegations, and grievances from the OSI intake phone-line, and the coordination and oversight for all OSI associated training. A SI in this Division will be expected to display strong leadership skills, good verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organization and time management capabilities, and an eagerness to support an expanding mission space. This SI position will be responsible to serve as OSI's Training Coordinator, which involves providing training, organizing training provided by others, and maintaining records of OSI's training, among other similar duties. The SI is the sixth-level leadership and supervisory level role (under the chief, assistant chief, director, deputy chief investigator, and assistant deputy chief investigator) responsible for overseeing activities within the ITAD. The SI will report directly to an Assistant Deputy Chief Investigator in ITAD. A SI is required to manage a caseload; supervise Investigators; lead small groups on assignments; and assist with the development of strategies, operations, and tactics

Salary Range:
From $75538 to $93206 Annually
Minimum Qualification
The qualifications include at least four years investigative experience. Candidates should also have exhibited demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory potential. Additional consideration will be given to applicants that have a training and teaching experience and familiarity complaint intake processing procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel will be expected. This Senior Investigator position will be responsible to serve as OSI's Training Coordinator and must possess a strong training background, as well as the following DCJS Certifications:
General Topics Instructor, Firearms Instructor and Chemical Agents Instructor. This position will require a high degree of organizational and writing skills, as well as must be available to respond immediately to incidents and possibly remain in the area as needed. The ability to handle confidential information is essential. All OSI investigative staff must possess, at a minimum, knowledge of the applicable laws, the highest levels of behavior including personal integrity and ethics; fairness; character; judgment; attitude; and respect for and ability to work with others inside and outside OSI. Appropriate licensure and certifications (including being or becoming a peace officer qualified to carry a firearm) are also required. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
