o Prepare, design, and deliver a variety of training curricula (technical and non-technical for delivery in the classroom, on-line and one-on-one. o Arranges for training courses including scheduling classroom space, setting up classroom, obtaining required equipment, material, and supplies, etc. o Prepares curriculum for and delivers in-person or virtual training via Microsoft Teams o Presents ideas, concepts, and information to participants o Replies to questions from participants regarding presented materials o Adjusts training based on participant or supervisor feedback o Travels to regional offices or other offsite locations as needed o Co-chair or support Division and Inter-Divisional Teams that Support Agency Programs and Initiatives o Develops and implements a project plan to ensure event objectives will be met o Attends committee meetings to assist with planning upcoming program, and participates in program events o Disseminates event information to all OSC staff through various communication channels o Support Bureau Administrative Functions o Answers employees' questions about the Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS) and training related questions o Maintains training records and provides reports in SLMS when necessary o Updates training manuals as needed o Streamlines training work processes as identified o Provides research on training topics, software and products as needed o Manage Agency Compliance Programs o Communicates compliance programs to agency staff o Tracks compliance of agency staff o Responds to customer questions o Desired Competencies or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Salary Range:
From $46529 to $77912 Annually
Minimum Qualification
You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, eligible under the 55 b/c program (see below), or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. 70.1 Transfer:
For a 70.1 transfer to a Training Specialist 1, salary grade 18, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an approved 70.1 title allocated to a salary grade 16 or above. 70.1 Transfer to a trainee 1:
For a 70.1 transfer to the Training Specialist trainee 1, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an approved 70.1 title allocated to a salary grade 11 or above and a bachelor's degree or higher. 52.6 Transfer:
For a 52.6 transfer to a Training Specialist 1, salary grade 18, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an approved 52.6 title allocated to a salary grade 16 or above. 52.6 Transfer to a trainee 1:

The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where it is reasonable to do so based upon the agency's mission and operational needs. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks. After the initial 8 calendar week restriction, if an employee's duties and work performance are aligned with telecommuting they may be allowed to do so. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
