Chief Environmental Conservation Police Officer

This position will be responsible for receiving and investigating facts relating to Division personnel complaints as outlined in DLE procedures. This position will also plan and supervise internal inspections to ensure Division compliance with Department policy and procedures. This position will ensure quality control for Division calls for service and provide training. The incumbent of this position must have taken accredited OPS Training or will be expected to complete an OPS training course within a year of transfer / appointment to this position.

Salary Range:
From $92656 to $111370 Annually
Minimum Qualification
There is currently no eligible list for this position. Therefore, if no more than three qualified individuals are interested, it will be possible to make a permanent appointment via non-competitive promotion Minimum qualifications for provisional appointment:
Must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Supervising Environmental Conservation Police Officer or Environmental Conservation Investigator 2.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
