8 Full-time Internship 3 hours ago Full Job Description New York is leading the nation in the fight on global climate change and the transition to a clean energy-powered economy.
With the passage of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, New York has codified the most aggressive climate change program in the nation with goals to reach zero carbon emissions in the electricity sector by 2040; install 9 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2035; 6 gigawatts of solar by 2025; and 3 gigawatts of energy storage by 2030.
Additionally, the law creates the Climate Action Council comprised of the leaders of various state agencies and authorities as well as legislative appointments to develop a plan outlining how the state will achieve an 85% reduction in GHG emissions from 1990 levels by 2050, and eventually net zero emissions in all sectors of the economy.
This is a paid internship for current, full-time college students.
The pay rate is from $15 to $17 per hour based on current class year.
This internship will begin on June 1st, 2023, and the intern will have the option to continue through Fall 2023.
Interns must be located in New York State while working.
It is expected that interns will follow our telework policy, with a combination of in-office and remote work.
Interns work up to 18.
5 hours per week during the semester, and up to 37.
5 hours per week during the Summer.
Primary Responsibilities Assist project managers in researching and analyzing topics related to program evaluation and energy markets, policies and technologies Assist in compiling large amounts of data over time, preparation of datasets, and data quality assurance Collect and organize information, including market data, in order to help implement evaluation plans, memos, reports, and other documents and presentations Create documents, guides and memos to communicate findings, recommendations and updates to internal staff Create charts, tables and other tools to communicate data Learn and utilize Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook, Teams and Excel Perform other responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to completing preliminary documents for evolving evaluation projects, oversight lead for specific projects, and assistance with procurement issuance and proposal selection Minimum Qualifications Current, full-time college student Strong policy analysis and technical writing skills Basic familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) Demonstrated ability researching and analyzing topics related to program evaluation and energy markets, policies and technologies Skill in managing multiple activities, delivering on commitments, and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment Strong work ethic Interest in public service, the energy sector or evaluation preferred, but not required Statistical analysis experience preferred, but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) preferred but not required To Apply Please submit one file that includes both your cover letter and resume.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
