The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Senior Health Care Fiscal Analyst/Health Care Fiscal Analyst Trainee position for the Office of Financial Management, State Operations Finance Group, Bureau of Costing, Rate Setting & Revenue Management. This position is critical in maintaining some of the core functions needed to collect $1.1 billion annually for the Office of Mental Health. The incumbent will report to a G-23 Associate Health Care Fiscal Analyst. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Central Revenue Operations Unit:
-- Support the managing and reconciling of the sole custody bank account held by OMH. -- Ensure that OMH is properly collecting, reconciling, transferring, and tracking multiple revenue streams that exceed $1 billion annually. -- Post payment related to our patient billing activities, in the new billing system. -- Act as the counterpoint to the Revenue Management and Billing Systems Unit to ensure that the cash reported is applied to the appropriate bills, payors, and patient account.

Salary Range:
From $61270 to $77912 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position. Candidates must have permanent status as a Senior Health Care Fiscal Analyst, Grade 18 and be eligible for lateral transfer OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Individuals certified eligible for the 55b/c program under the Governor's Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55b/c of the Civil Service Law that possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, or Public Administration with 18 semester credit hours in statistics, economics, accounting and/or auditing (12 of which must be in accounting and/or auditing) will also be considered. Please provide a copy of your 55b/c eligibility letter and your unofficial college transcript with your response. All OMH Central Office employees who are vaccinated for COVID-19 must show proof of vaccination. Fully vaccinated means that two (2) or more weeks have elapsed since receiving either the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or the first and only dose of a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson J&J /Janssen). Those not vaccinated must indicate this. Vaccination is required for many OMH positions but not all. Those not vaccinated for COVID-19 are ineligible for appointment to positions that require vaccination.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
