Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and enhancing existing technologies and systems within the Digital Tools and User Engagement Unit of the Bureau of Data Programs and Policy. The incumbent will assist the unit in managing the intake of Medicaid Managed Care Plan provider and network data through the Provider Network Data and Panel Data System processes. In addition, the incumbent will support the unit's function of managing and developing existing and new digital tools and internal and external-facing dashboards, as well as work with data systems that are integrated or will be integrated into the All Payer Database, including NYS Medicaid Managed Care and Fee-For-Service data. Responsibilities The incumbent will carry out the following tasks:
Assist with all aspects of the Panel Data and Provider Network Data Systems, including the quarterly data submission process for health plan data, the maintenance and development of technical documents, monitoring shared mailboxes, and communicating with external health plans and other internal entities Maintain and monitor the public facing NYS Provider and Health Plan Look-Up tool for functionality, data accuracy, and completeness, and assist with design changes Develop and implement improvements in data quality and data intake process solutions to support completeness and accuracy of health plan data Assist the unit in the maintenance and development of internal and public-facing digital tools to provide users with transparent healthcare data from various data sources including NYS Medicaid data Document operational activities and workflows related to various data systems and processes, and create instructional documents Possess strong analytic and technical skills as well as knowledge of programming languages such as SAS and SQL; experience working with health data, managed care, and knowledge of claims data is preferred Be able to communicate with and work collaboratively with a wide range of entities of varying technical backgrounds and experiences A bachelor's or higher-level degree in public health, health policy or administration, biostatistics, statistics, or epidemiology is preferred Qualifications Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of professional experience Strong computer skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Must be a United States Citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States in order to be considered.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Project Management, Program ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
